Social Media Manager (Part-time)
Oldlee is an independent software brand with a studio in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We make software for screenshots, conversations, teamwork, video and travel planning. We're looking for a part-time social media manager to run our apps' social accounts: writing posts, scheduling them and replying to comments. It's fully remote, so you can be anywhere. The team is small, and you'll work directly with me.
What you'll do
- Run the social accounts for Oldlee and its apps, posting on a plan.
- Turn new releases, features and tips into short posts people can follow, and prepare images and short videos with our designer.
- Reply to comments and messages, and pass product issues on to us in a clear way.
- Once a month, write a short recap: what went out, which posts got a response, and what to try next.
- Keep an eye on how people talk about our apps online and bring back useful feedback.
What we're looking for
- You've run a brand or personal account and can show us the account or posts.
- Clean writing that doesn't rely on clickbait or empty buzzwords.
- You can write posts in Chinese and English; Malay or other languages are a plus.
- You know how at least two major platforms work, such as Xiaohongshu, X, Instagram, Threads, YouTube or TikTok.
- You post on agreed dates, and speak up early when something won't make it.
Nice to have
- You can edit short videos or make simple graphics yourself.
- You've run accounts for software, apps or tech.
- You're into productivity tools, design or travel, and already use apps like ours.
Pay and how we work
- Part-time and fully remote, open to any country or region.
- Pay is discussed with you, based on experience and workload.
- Flexible hours. We mostly talk in writing online, with video calls when needed.
- We're a very small studio with no big ad budget right now. Growth comes mostly from the content itself.
